AS THE BIRDS FLY NORTH FOR SUMMER

As the Birds Fly North for Summer

Now the snow is melting
All the greenery will soon appear
With the bushes budding
Mountain streams flowing
I feel a breeze that rushes over me
Spring is around the corner
When violins start to play
I will sentimentally shed a tear
For I am happy with my fate in time
Yesterday I felt a deep despair
But the Persian New Year is starting
Aries hides behind the sun as she’s shining
with a buoyancy in the early morning air.
With an uplifted spirit I glance into the sky
There fly flocks of bluebirds and singing finches
Tweeting their chorus’ into my ears
And the music is proceeding with my departing
As I hike my final yards and inches
Returning after our winter’s separation
I reminisce our precious hours
As the birds fly north for summer
I pensively meditate of no other
Then my princess who awaits my presence
Naturally like a blossoming flower
Such a symphony of splendor and rapture
As the birds fly north for summer
Always devoted to our tender pleasures
Forever honest and keeping our heartfelt promise
Always illuminant and never fading
Holding a beacon across the shading
trees that sprout, casting a calming shadow.
This moment we must revel and recapture
the extraordinary quaint and quiet province.
Through the springlike heavenly measure
rings a melody and counterpoint throughout Nature.
Mysteries of the rainbow’s prism
with a cloudburst and a prancing rhythm.
Chloris redeems us with a ring of flowers
strung together with a lace of crimson.
Indulging us with a pond of tadpoles
paddling robustly with a fondness.
The daffodils thrill the coming tulips
after the crocus has disappeared.
We sip our delectable sweetened julep
flavored with mint from a mountaineer.
We hike through fields and poppy meadows
destined to pastoral blissfulness.
As the birds fly north for summer
I pensively meditate of no other
Then my princess who awaits my presence
Naturally like a blossoming flower
Such a symphony of splendor and rapture
As the birds fly north for summer
